Free eye checkup camp organized in Arunabond tea garden; 33 patients diagnosed with Cataract

In a joint initiative, 'Youths Against Social Evils (YASE)' and 'Prabhati Devi Charitable Trust' organized a free eye screening and cataract detection camp at Arunabond Tea Garden, Silchar.

The camp, held under the supervision of Priyam Choudhury from Chaudhary Eye Hospital, saw a total of 107 underprivileged patients receive eye checkups conducted by Dr Rahul Jadhav and Bhavatosh Dev Barman.

Of these, 33 patients were diagnosed with cataracts and are scheduled for free surgeries at Chaudhary Eye Hospital, Silchar, on a predetermined date.

In addition to the eye checkups, free medications were distributed to the needy.

The Arunabond regional committee of YASE played an active role in ensuring the success of this vital camp.

Key figures like Camp Incharge Dinesh Kahar, Central Committee President Sanjeev Roy, Vice-President Bandita Trivedi Roy, Alok Kurmi, Chandan Goyala, Gautam Gour, Mallika Tati, and Babul Kurmi were present to oversee the proceedings.
