From farmer's daughter to Deputy collector: Priyal Yadav's inspirational journey
Priyal Yadav, a farmer's daughter who once faced academic challenges, has emerged as a beacon of success by securing the sixth rank in the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) examination. Her story serves as a testament to the transformative power of hard work and perseverance.
In an interview with PTI, the 27-year-old recounted her journey, highlighting her transition from being a class topper until Class 10 to facing failure in Class 11 due to pressure from relatives. Despite this setback, Priyal remained undeterred, describing it as her "first and last failure" in her academic life.
Priyal's resilience bore fruit when she secured the 19th rank in the MPPSC exam in 2019, leading to her appointment as a district registrar. Undeterred by challenges, she continued her pursuit of excellence and achieved the 34th rank in the 2020 MPPSC exam, earning her the position of assistant commissioner in the cooperative department.
Currently serving as a district registrar in Indore, Priyal's determination propelled her to further heights as she clinched the sixth rank in the MPPSC examination 2021, underscoring her unwavering commitment to success.
Hailing from a rural area where early marriages are prevalent, Priyal credits her parents for providing her with the freedom to pursue her studies without societal pressures. Her father, a farmer, and her mother, a housewife, instilled in her the value of education and independence.
Looking ahead, Priyal aspires to become an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer and plans to prepare for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exams while continuing her duties as a deputy collector.
Despite her remarkable achievements, Priyal's journey faces a hurdle with a pending case in the Madhya Pradesh High Court regarding the reservation for Other Backward Classes (OBC) in government jobs. While Priyal was among the top 10 candidates selected for the post of deputy collector in the MPPSC examination 2021, the final selection process for the remaining 13 percent of posts awaits the court's verdict.
Priyal Yadav's journey serves as an inspiration, showcasing how determination and perseverance can pave the way for success, regardless of the challenges encountered along the way.
