GC College students demonstrate protest in front of DC cachar office on Friday, submit memorandum

Students of Gurucharan College staged a protest in front of the District Commissioner's office on Friday, demanding admission to their college. Alongside the protest, they also submitted a memorandum to the District Commissioner.

During the protest, the students raised various slogans, creating a charged atmosphere in the office area. They emphasized that since today is the last day for admissions, their admission issues must be resolved immediately. Several ABVP officials were also present alongside the college students during the protest.

The students of GC College have been deprived of admission opportunities at their own college. Over the past few days, they have been making various appeals and staging protests but have not received any satisfactory response.

The students expressed their concern, questioning where they should go now. Despite having completed two years of higher secondary education at this college, they are not being admitted to degree courses, whereas students from other schools and colleges are being admitted.

The students’ primary demand is that those who have passed their higher secondary exams at GC College and now seek admission to degree courses should be admitted by any means necessary.

They warned that their future would be jeopardized if their admissions are not granted, and held the college authorities responsible for this potential outcome.
