The vibrant conclusion of the three-day Shonbil Festival unfolded at the Bipin Chandra Pal Auditorium of Assam University, leaving the audience enthralled.

 The Department of Performing Arts orchestrated a delightful cultural program that showcased the rich artistic talents present at the university.

The event kicked off with an enchanting performance titled "Sub-Classical Music and Tabla Ensemble" by Dr. Ishita Chakraborty, a professor at Visva Bharati, and Professor Sandeep Ghosh.

Their mesmerizing performances captured the attention of the audience, setting a captivating tone for the evening.

Following this, the stage witnessed the artistic brilliance of students and faculty members from the affiliated college under Manipur University.

Directed and choreographed by Professor Dr. Ke. Sujata Devi, the presentation titled "Bhanusingher Padabali" received commendation for its graceful execution and artistic finesse.

Professor Dr. Sujit Kumar Ghosh supervised the performance, adding to its overall excellence.

The Shonbil Festival's theme song for 2024, composed by Professor Manabendra Datta Choudhury and presented by Professor Jagnnath Barman, resonated with the festive spirit.

The tabla accompaniment by Shovan Das and the soulful singing by Professor Jagnnath Barman filled the auditorium with joyous melodies.

The cultural extravaganza reached its pinnacle with the presentation "Tabla-Sanglap; Depiction: Mahabharata and Women - Enthusiasm."

Directed by Professor Dr. Pintu Saha, the performance showcased the talents of nine female tabla artists, dancers, and instrumentalists. 

The innovative approach and professional presentation earned the ensemble well-deserved applause from the audience.

Professor Dr. Sujit Kumar Ghosh, the orchestrator of the entire event, ensured flawless coordination, leaving all attendees with a memorable and culturally enriched experience.

The Shonbil Festival at Assam University concluded on a high note, celebrating the diverse artistic expressions within its vibrant community.
