Grieving father seeks justice for mysterious death of son on the day of Bijoya Dashami

Sujeet Paul, a resident of Irongmara, is appealing for justice from the government following the mysterious death of his son, Samarjit Paul, on the day of Bijoya Dashami.
Samarjit Pal, the only son of Sujeet Pal, had recently joined his father's business after completing his diploma in civil engineering.
On October 24, Samarjit went out with friends Deep Deb and Rahul Paul, along with three unidentified individuals, who called him from his home in Irongmara.
Later, the local police informed Sujeet Paul that his son was found lying on the road. Samarjit, who had been almost unconscious, was taken to Silchar Medical College and then to GNRC in Gauhati for treatment. Despite the efforts of doctors, Samarjit Pal passed away on October 31.
The postmortem report revealed that Samarjit was beaten after being fed some chemical, resulting in extensive damage to his liver and kidneys.
Expressing deep concern over the incident, the grieving parents have appealed to the state Chief Minister and the government, seeking justice for their son's murder.
In a conversation with journalists, Sujeet Paul highlighted that only two individuals have been remanded by the police based on their FIR, with no news of the arrest of the two friends who were present that day.
Additionally, family members of neighbors Deep Deb and Rahul Paul are reportedly absconding, raising suspicions of police inaction.
The family believes that political pressure might be influencing the investigation, leading to a mysterious silence from the police.
Sunil Paul, along with his wife, emphasized their demand for appropriate punishment for those responsible for Samarjit's mysterious death.
They urged Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma and the BJP government to initiate an immediate and thorough investigation, ensuring the arrest of the culprits.
The grieving parents expressed their hope for justice, aiming to prevent similar tragedies for other families in the future.
