Guwahati Airport Plans to Start Direct Flights to 5 New Destinations. Know those destinations here !
The Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport is the largest airport of the Northeastern region. This airport has planned to increase the number of direct flights from 63 to 72 in the summer months that begins from the last Sunday of March and continues till the last Sunday of October.
The new destinations which are likely to be added to the list of direct flights include Bhubaneswar in Odisha, Goa MOPA, Dehradun in Uttarakhand, Jodhpur in Rajasthan, and Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. Infact, some routes will find additional flights via Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Lucknow and Kolkata.
Besides, the Bhutan Airline has decided to operate its new direct flights twice a week from 13 May onwards, connecting Guwahati in India and Paro in Bhutan. The top three destinations connecting Guwahati airport are Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru, it is also connected to the two international destinations of Singapore and Paro.
After the COVID-19 pandemic, the entire region has witnessed a hike in the footfall of tourists from different parts of the country including Guwahati Airport. Three well-known airlines running out of Guwahati airport have assumed an increase in the number of tourists visiting the airport in the summer season.
