Hailakandi commando dies after mobile phone explodes during charging
Commando Amarjyoti Taid from Dimow Laibil has passed away due to a mobile explosion.
Amarjyoti was stationed in the Luarbond area of Cachar district.
Having been appointed just a year and a half ago, he was posted at the under-construction Second Commando Battalion Camp in Hailakandi.
Amarjyoti was the son of Pushpa Taid and Nate Taid of Dimow Laibil.
The incident occurred at night while Amarjyoti was talking on his phone, which was plugged in for charging. The mobile phone suddenly exploded with a loud noise, leading to his immediate death.
