Hailakandi leads Barak Valley in HSLC results, Cachar records 3rd lowest pass rate statewide

The Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) has announced the results of the HSLC examination for 2024, revealing a significant milestone for the state's education system. With 4,19,078 students appearing for the exams, the pass percentage stands at 75.7%, showcasing an improvement from the previous year. Arunang Doloi from Jorhat clinched the top spot with an impressive score of 593 out of 600.

SEBA's efficient handling of the examination process is evident, with results declared within 45 days of the conclusion of the exams. Notably, there has been an encouraging participation from transgender students, with 10 candidates taking the exam and 8 passing successfully. The gender-wise pass percentage also highlights a slightly higher performance by male students compared to their female counterparts, with 77.3% and 74.4% respectively. Overall, the outcome reflects both individual excellence and systemic progress in Assam's secondary education landscape.
