Heavy Rainfall and Thunderstorm to strike Assam, Defence force to stay alert: ASDMA issued notice.
Shri Gyanendra Dev Tripathi,IAS and Chief Executive Officer of Assam State Disaster Management Authority sends application to all the Deputy Commissioners of the state about Rainfall forecast.
The ASDMA issued notice to all the Deputy Commissioner that a there is a chance of Heavy Rainfall and Thunderstorm could strike Assam badly. The ASDMA asked the Deputy Commissioners of each every district to keep vigil in the riverine and flood prone areas.
The ASDMA stated that "With reference to the subject cited above and advisory under reference, I am to inform you that in view of the Forecast Bulletin issued by Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Govt. of India dated 21 May, 2021 regarding heavy to very heavy rainfall and Thunderstorm with Lightning & gusty wind at isolated places.
You are requested to keep vigil in the riverine and flood prone areas of your districts: Further, Fire & Emergency Service, NDRF, Civil Defence and other response forces may also be kept in alert mode till 22.05.2021 (Midnight)."
