Himanta Biswa Sarma in an exclusive interview with Time Now Spoke about the ongoing Covid related Crisis, Politics and new Policies in the State
Assam's new Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma following his oath-taking ceremony spoke on the ongoing covid situation.
He gives an elaborate insight of his covid plan of the state and talked about adapting new containment policies while stating that the government's priority is cell building for controlling the situation.
Speaking of the Central government, he says that the state has been getting full support in this respect, and, on record, the state has been getting a full quota of Remdesivir, Oxygen and Vaccines.
While asked about the shortage of Vaccines in the state, he claimed that he has been supplying 80 thousand to 1 lakh of Vaccines per day from 20th April which is his maximum capacity, taking into consideration the manpower and is confident about vaccinating 50% of the population by the end of July.
He further talks about the Covid politics that has been seen to take place in the state.
A new policy has been established on 12th May 2021, and the testing capacity has been increased as well.
A new scheme for the oxygen supply has been administrated which states that whoever generates oxygen will get 100% power subsidy for the next 1 year. CM further speaks about working closely with the Bhutan government for establishing another oxygen plant there.
Sarma adds to his statement that the State has a sturdy health infrastructure that is being used to its best possible capacity.
