Horrific crash on Katakhal bypass: Four killed, three injured

A severe road accident took place on the Katakhal Bypass in Hailakandi district, where a head-on collision between an Alto and an EON car resulted in the death of four individuals.

Among the deceased is a woman, and all four were passengers in the EON car. The accident has shocked the local community, as such incidents have been increasing on this stretch of road.

The collision, which occurred in the early hours of the day, left the Alto car severely damaged, and three of its passengers sustained critical injuries.

The injured were quickly rescued by locals and emergency responders, who rushed them to Silchar Medical College and Hospital for urgent medical attention. Their condition remains serious, and they are currently receiving intensive care.

Despite the quick response, the identities of the deceased have not yet been confirmed, adding to the distress of the situation. The authorities are working to identify the victims and notify their families.

Meanwhile, an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the accident, and efforts are being made to improve safety measures on the Katakhal Bypass to prevent further tragedies.
