Implementation of FSSAI training and license for all the food item sellers in Assam

FSSAI has made mandatory that if anyone sell any food or drink , he/she must print the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) license number on his produce, invoice, receipt, debit note, credit note. This number will have to be written outside the hotel restaurant shops as well as printed on the product receipt bill debit-credit note. So, From October 1, FFSAI is going to sent it's mobilzers through out Cachar District's food seller. The Food Safety and Drug Administration Department has also started preparation regarding this. He has also issued orders in this regard to all the traders.

FSSAI: Food Businesses To Mention License No. On Invoices W.E.F. 1st October 2021
Food Safety and Standards Authority of India(FSSAI) passed an order on 8th June, 2021, making it mandatory for food business operators in the country, which are largely micro, small, and mid-sized enterprises, to mention their 14-digit FSSAI license/registration number on receipts, invoices or bill on sale of products w.e.f 1st October, 2021.

In the order, the Food Authority mentioned, "Presently FSSAI number is compulsory to be displayed on packaged food labels but the issue lies especially in case of establishments such as restaurant, mithai shops, caterers, even retail stores, etc

In a survey by the Ministry of Food Processing lndustries (MoFPI), it is found that there are near about 25 lakhs unorganized food sellers in india. They have no proper legal documents such as FSSAI, trade license etc. They have no morden machinaries and technologies. As a result of which, Banks are not willing to credit them. So, to recover them from such conditions, MoFPI, govt. of India, launched a credit linkage benefial scheme named "PMFME" (Prodhan Mantry Formalisation of Micro Food processing Enterprises) on 12th may 1920. In urban areas, urban local bodies provide a credit facility upto 10,000 for street food vendors through banks for their financial support based on only one document i.e. FFSAI license. If a street vendors who sells food products by taking a credit facility of rupees 10,000 from bank with any colleteral guarantee and recovered the said loan with interest with in due time, Banks will provide another a credit facility of two times of earlier credit (20,000) to the vendor which helps him for further profitable business.
