In their projections, the I.N.D.I.A alliance claims that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will secure only 220 seats. When combined with the other parties within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), they predict the NDA will achieve a total of 235 seats.
The majority mark required to form a government in the General Elections is 272 seats, making the I.N.D.I.A alliance's target of 295+ seats a clear indication of their confidence in overtaking the ruling coalition.
