Silchar, September 14, 2023 - The Department of Business Administration at Assam University, Silchar, hosted an international seminar on accounting, finance, business, and social science on September 14, 2023. The event commenced at 2:00 PM at the Bipin Chandra Paul Seminar Hall and was marked by the presence of esteemed guests.

Dignitaries, including Assam University's Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Rajiv Mohan Pant, Dean of MBA Prof. H. Ramananda Singh, Anup Barman of DBA, Amrit Lal Ghosh, Prof. Shainara Begum, and Prof. Debamalya Ghosh, graced the dias. Prof. Rajiv Mohan Pant presided over the seminar as the Vice-Chancellor, while the inaugural session was characterized by a ceremonial lamp lighting and an inaugural song performed by students.

Anup Barman, the Head of the Department of DBA, delivered a welcoming speech, setting the tone for the seminar. Further, the event featured online addresses by Seminar Directors from Alabama University, USA, and NEHU, along with international coordinators Eketerine Lomia, Emilio Angel, Engtavius Briskey-Chappell, and Salman Mazumder. Several renowned international and national coordinators, including Dr. Sauvik Banerjee, Dr. Sultana Begum A. Mazumder, Dr. Rachana Jaiswal, Dr. Barkha Rani, and Dr. Ayesha Khatun, joined the session through online mode.

Distinguished speakers like Dr. Chau Le (Senior Lecturer, Banking & Finance/Programme Leader), Dr. Davina Bird (UK), Mr. Thakur Ghimire (United Kingdom), Dr. Judith John, Chrisben Daniels, Jacob Diameh (UK), Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman (University of Lincoln, UK), Dr. Dieu Hack-Polay (Professor, Crandall University, Canada), Prof. Nevine Makram (Egypt), Prof. Ravinder Rena, and Dr. Qian Schen shared valuable insights with the students.

The seminar concluded with a valedictory session, where Dean JNSMS Prof. H. Ramananda Singh delivered his address, followed by a vote of thanks by Assistant Coordinator Ms. Sonia. Prof. H.R. Laskar, the Chief Coordinator, highlighted that participants from 11 nations worldwide enriched the seminar with their contributions and insights.
