In the mission of Assam Police and Himanta Biswa Sarma's 'War on Drugs,' the field of drug dealers in every corner of Assam has been dismantled. But as we can see the cases of drugs in Barak valley are increasing drastically, the question arises ' Has the dealers set their field of trades in Barak Valley?"
In one of their biggest recoveries, the Karimganj district's Ratabari police station team has recovered 2.3 lakh of YABA tablets yesterday morning in Veterbond area. The drugs worth around 7 crores was being transported in an Alto car when our alert team intercepted it. Though this is not new, since the last few weeks police teams of Barak Valley are confronting such cases on a regular basis.
After this achievement by Karimganj Police, Chief Minister of Assam Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma congratulated the team. In response, Karimganj police tweeted "Thank you for your kind words of encouragement Sir. Your invaluable guidance and continuous support embolden us in our fight against this evil of drug abuse.
