Karimganj's man nominated for News18 Rising India Real Heroes of 2023, The success story of a Rickshaw Puller
This 87 year old man has been nominated for the News18 Rising India Real Heroes Award in the education category, and he will be conferred with the award at the News18 Rising India Summit at Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi on March 30.
An 87 year old man, Ahmed Ali, resident of Kalirbond, a marginal village in Karimganj Assam, has set an impression of being a true citizen of India. This 87 year old man has been nominated for the News18 Rising India Real Heroes Award in the education category, and he will be conferred with the award at the News18 Rising India Summit at Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi on March 30. Assam's Ahmed Ali despite facing all the financial challenges has established school in his village to emphasize education for the economically backward people. He establised 9 schools, 3 lower secondary schools, 5 secondary schools and 1 higher secondary school, He also hopes to establish a college in his upcoming days.
Ahmed Ali sold 32 bigha of his land out of 36 bigha and contributed to the construction for the school. Apart from donating the land , Mr Ali is also working hard to keep them running as the funding of the school comes from his daily earning and donations.
Kalirbond's Ahmed Ali's success story is also being shared by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat'. Expressing his happiness Modi stated," I learned that Ahmed Ali, a rickshaw puller from Assam's Karimganj district, has opened nine schools for the education of poor children. This is a beautiful expression of the will of the people of our country." 87 year old Ali was also invited to Delhi as a speaker by an NGO Jookto.
