Land dispute escalates into severe violence in Silchar Modhurbond; multiple injured

A severe outbreak of violence has engulfed the Madhurband Karopara area in Silchar, leaving several people injured, including women, as two factions clash over a long-standing land dispute. The feud, primarily between Fazal Uddin Lashkar and Akhtar Hussain Lashkar, took a distressing turn on Monday, leading to a chaotic and violent confrontation.

The land dispute, simmering for an extended period in Madhurband Kararpar, reached a boiling point, resulting in a physical altercation between the two parties. The conflict quickly escalated into a brawl, with individuals from both sides resorting to physical aggression, wielding sticks as weapons.

The aftermath of the clash saw numerous injuries inflicted on several people, including women, caught in the crossfire of the dispute. Promptly informed of the situation, the police swiftly intervened, managing to bring the volatile situation under control. They rescued the injured individuals and promptly transported them to Silchar Medical College for necessary medical attention.
