The shocking incident unfolded in front of Gunomoyi Road, Tarapur, creating a stir in the entire neighborhood.
The victim, a local woman, visited a grocery store at around 9 pm on Saturday to purchase galamal. To her horror, Sunny Chowdhury and Partha Das forcibly took her to the store's godown, where they attempted to assault her. The brave woman fought back and screamed for self-defense, managing to break free. However, as she tried to escape, one of the assailants attacked her with a sharp weapon.
Hearing the woman's cries for help, concerned locals rushed to the scene. The attackers, Sunny Chowdhury and Partha Das, fled the area in a hurry.

Local residents revealed their ongoing frustrations with Sunny Chowdhury, who owns the store, and his brother-in-law, Partha Das. They cited numerous complaints against the two, emphasizing the disturbance caused by late-night drunken gatherings in front of Sunny's Golmal shop, making it challenging for local women to commute safely.
Members of the Pratham Palli club and concerned residents had warned the accused on multiple occasions, but their behavior had not improved. Consequently, in light of the incident, the local community and Pratham Palli club officials have vowed to file a case against Sunny Chowdhury and Partha Das, with the ultimate goal of removing them from the area.
