Man severely beaten in group attack on Tarani Road, Silchar

On Tuesday night, a violent group attack occurred on Tarani Road in Silchar, resulting in significant injuries to a man identified as Alim Uddin Barbhuiya. According to reports, Barbhuiya had visited a residence on Tarani Road when a gang of miscreants ambushed him.

The incident unfolded when one of the attackers initially lured Barbhuiya with a seemingly friendly approach. Once he was outside, the gang assaulted him brutally, leaving him severely beaten and abandoned on the road.

Local authorities responded swiftly to the scene. Police from the Rangirkhari outpost arrived and transported the injured Barbhuiya to Silchar Medical College for urgent medical treatment.

A woman who was a tenant at the residence where Barbhuiya had gone reported that she was acquainted with him but was unaware of the motives behind the attack. She later lodged a complaint at the Rangirkhari outpost, alleging that several youths were involved in the incident. The police are currently investigating the case to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
