Mega protest by the Students at AUS campus regarding the mode of Examination.

The UG exams of Odd semester are going to be held in March 2022 and this time it has been decided that the exams will be in offline mode. 

The students are not in favour with the decision made by the AU authority. They submitted many memorandums for conducting the examinations in online mode. But, they did not get and prior response from the authority. So, the students gathered together and started a mega protest against the Assam University authority at the campus on 15th Jan 2022.

Our reporter rushed to the spot and investigated the whole matter. As per reports, the students said, "Our syllabus is not complete yet and maximum number of classes were in online mode".

The students also said, "We had submitted many memorandums regarding the conduct of examinations but the authority did not responded to us earlier". They also added that, "We are ready to sit for offline examination only if the university agrees to restart our syllabus again in full stretch of 2 months in offline classes".

One of their representative also stated that, "In the name of offline classes, the teachers used to share links and pdf's only rather than explainations". The protest is still going on at the AUS campus.

In the midst af all these, the bench of authority has appealed to the students for a official meeting at the old guest house of the university to discuss the matter regarding the issues raised by the students. The appeal goes like this,

"This is to appeal to all the students assembled at the entrance gate of the University that five (05) representatives from amongst you are invited to come to the old guest house of the University to discuss the matter pertaining to the issues raised by you at 3:30 pm today (15-02- 2022). Further, it is earnestly appealed to the students to vacate the University gate to enable normal functioning of the University. Your co-operation is highly solicited".

In response to this, the students has clearly denied their invitation because as per the information, the students dont have any such representative. They came all together for the protest and they want to discuss each and every thing regarding the matter infront of all the students.
