Memorandum submitted by the students of Karimganj College requesting for the cancellation of the remaining exams amid spike of coronavirus in the valley

The clashes between Assam university & the students of Barak Valley is not a new game. A few days ago after a long and massive student protest, no options were left to students rather than surrendering to AUS.

The protests were regarding the exams. Students were demanding online examination as the cases of Coronavirus were increasing gradually, but Assam university was stuck to its words, and finally, they arranged the examination in an offline mode. Students were bound to give the exams. Now after giving few exams, many students were tested positive, also the number of cases increased in the valley and state too. 

Looking at the covid scenario, again the students requested Assam university and District Administration to cancel or postpone the rest of the exams. They mentioned that a lot of teachers, students, staffs and parents were tested positive, before it gets out of control they urged to stop the exams. The mental condition of the students is all-time low due to the rise in cases and their classmates getting infected by the deadly virus as such none of the students are ready to give rest exams.

The Assam Teacher Association has also submitted a memorandum to Assam University recently for the rise in cases among the students of various colleges of Barak valley, so we thought we could approach you and ask for help as our and our family members lives are at risk, viewing the recent spike and safety for the students from covid-19.
