As the highly anticipated Durga Puja festival kicks off on October 20, Kolkata never fails to surprise us with its innovative pandals. This year, all eyes are on the Pucka-themed Pandal, seamlessly blending 'food' and 'festival.'

In a viral video, a vast pandal transforms into a culinary wonderland, featuring an abundance of Puchkas (Gol Gappas) as the central décor element. Dona plates (crafted from leaves found in the wild, such as the Maloo Creeper) and traditional rolling pins adorn the space, capturing Kolkata's street food culture perfectly. Puchkas are delicately placed in each Dona plate adorning the walls. The pièce de résistance is a grand Puchka, housing the idol of Maa Durga.

Situated in Tala Park, this pandal has garnered widespread admiration for its creativity. A post on the micro-blogging site 'X' exclaimed, "I am amazed at the depth of creativity in India. Here, a whole pandal is made of puchkas with artists from Bengal. I wish to work in this area to highlight the rich creativity of India. Tala Park. I love my India."
