NFR Announces special trains to ease passenger load on key routes, Silchar included

In a bid to alleviate the strain on existing train services and accommodate the surge in passenger numbers, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced a series of special trains on key routes. These special services are set to provide a timely solution for passengers seeking convenient travel options during the specified period.

The special trains will operate on various routes, including Silchar - Gomti Nagar, Alipurduar Jn. - Kanpur Central, Guwahati - SMVT Bengaluru, and Rangapara North - Rani Kamalapati railway stations. NFR aims to cater to wait-listed passengers, offering them a comfortable alternative for their travel needs.

Details of the Special Trains:

1. Silchar to Gomti Nagar (Train No. 05612): Departing at 18:45 hours on December 8th, 2023, this train will pass through key stations such as Badarpur Jn., Guwahati, New Jalpaiguri, Katihar Jn., and Gorakhpur Jn., reaching Gomti Nagar by 12:00 hours on December 10th, 2023.

2. Alipurduar Jn. to Kanpur Central (Train No. 05458): Commencing its journey at 23:00 hours on December 9th, 2023, this train will stop at New Jalpaiguri Jn., Barauni Jn., Gorakhpur Jn., and more, reaching Kanpur Central at 04:05 hours on December 11th, 2023.

3. Guwahati to SMVT Bengaluru (Train No. 05670): Starting at 06:00 hours on December 9th, 2023, this train will pass through Goalpara Town, Malda Town, Bhubaneswar, and Vizianagaram Jn., reaching SMVT Bengaluru by 09:10 hours on December 11th, 2023.

4. Rangapara North to Rani Kamalapati (Train No. 05866): Departing at 08:00 hours on December 10th, 2023, this train will include stops at Bongaigaon, New Jalpaiguri Jn., Kanpur Central, and Bhopal, arriving at Rani Kamalapati at 04:30 hours on December 12th, 2023.
