NIT Silchar under “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Yuva Sangam program”

Government of India has taken an initiative to conduct a program 'Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat Yuva Sangam' a delegation of 50 students and 05 faculty members fom Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) Delhi, Delhi University (DU), Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and Indraprastha University (IPU) have arrived at NIT Silchar (Assam) campus.The team was accorded a grand welcome at Badarpur railway station and NIT Silchar Administration of NIT Silchar.

This purpose of the tour is to serves for an enriching experience to the youth of the country and to engage with the culture, traditions, ethnicity and environment of different states exchange their values ​​as a progressive nation. Promotion of tourism is also the aim of this visit (tourism), heritage (parampara), development (progress), technology (producer) and connection between people (intercommunication). The delegation will visit Jalinga Tea Estate, Borail Eco Park.Sonbil of Silchar, adjoining districts, Karimhanj, Hailkandi, Haflong and Guwahati is also thr small steps towards this exhilarating trip.

Silchar said, “This is a unique opportunity for students and faculties from premier universities of Delhi and NIT Silchar to understand the cultural milieu within the ambit of ‘Unity in Diversity’ under ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Yuva Sangam’.

In the first phase of the visit a team of youths from Assam coordinated by NIT Silchar visited JNU

Delhi and National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR) Chandigarh in the month of February-March-2023.
