One youth drowns, another missing in flood water of Cachar's Sonai area
In a tragic incident in Cachar's Sonai constituency, one youth drowned and another went missing in the floodwaters in Kaptanpur.
Suraj Rabidas drowned while swimming in floodwater near his home, and Ripon Rabidas remains missing.
Locals witnessed the event and retrieved Suraj's body, which has been sent to Silchar Medical College for an autopsy.
Despite ongoing efforts by police and SDRF teams, Ripon has not yet been found. The search operation continues as the community anxiously awaits news.
