Opposition leader Ajit Kumar Bhuiyan launched a scathing attack on the ruling BJP, accusing them of governing through fear and intimidation. Speaking at a press conference, Bhuiyan rallied support for the Congress candidate in the Karimganj Lok Sabha constituency, alleging that the BJP was resorting to vote-buying through syndicates.

He highlighted Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma's repeated visits to Barak, suggesting a nervous response from the BJP towards Congress influence.

Expressing deep concern over the circumstances surrounding Home Minister Amit Shah's visit to Silchar, Bhuiyan criticized the BJP's control over the police department and their use of administrative resources for partisan activities.

He highlighted the plight of the people of Silchar due to poor infrastructure and accused the ruling party of forcibly imposing their presence on the city. Bhuiyan also asserted the momentum of the India Alliance in the initial phases of the country's elections, indicating growing opposition to the BJP's policies and practices.

In his remarks, Bhuiyan painted a picture of a determined opposition challenging the BJP's dominance, calling for public support and highlighting the need for change in governance. Through his fiery rhetoric and allegations, he sought to galvanize support for the Congress party and its allies, presenting a formidable challenge to the ruling BJP.
