People of Kathigorah Unite Against Corruption in Kathigorah Sub Registrar and Settlement Office

In a significant display of community solidarity, a civic meeting was held at the community hall of Kathigorah Phulbari GP Pro-Youth Foundation office from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday. The gathering, attended by conscientious citizens and philanthropists from both Kathigorah and Borkhola assembly areas, was organized to protest against the prevailing corruption and illicit syndicate rule in the Kathigorah sub-registrar and settlement office over the past few years.

Chaired by the President of the Citizens' Assembly, the meeting was graced by esteemed guests, including Biplab Kumar Goswami, General Secretary of Consumer Protection Association, philanthropists Jahangir Alam, Maulana Enamulla, Kawchur Ahmed Chowdhury, Golam Azad Barabhuiya, Maulana Kamrul Islam Barabhuiya, Deepak Lal Das, and Rabindra Acharya, Joint Secretary of Deshbandhu Club, Phulbari GP President Iqbal, among others.

During the gathering, attendees highlighted instances of corruption and illegal practices, particularly concerning land transactions, perpetrated by individuals associated with the Kathigorah sub-registrar office. Hibrul Islam Mazharbhuiya and Ruhul Amin, document writers, shed light on the illegal activities with substantial evidence, exposing the wrongdoings that have plagued the community.

Addressing the assembly, Biplab Kumar Goswami condemned the illegal collection of money from the common people of Kathigorah and Borkhola under the pretext of land purchases and sales. He demanded a thorough investigation into the matter to bring the culprits to justice.

Maulana Enamulla issued a stern warning to all government employees affiliated with the Kathigorah sub-registrar office, emphasizing the heightened awareness among the people of Kathigorah. He asserted that the citizens were resolute in their fight against corruption and vowed to assist anyone in need to safeguard the property of Kathigorah's common people, pledging to make the Kathigorah sub registrar's office corruption-free.

Phulbari GP President, Iqbal Hossain Barabhuiya, stressed the importance of a unified movement to combat corruption in the Kathigorah sub registrar's office, calling for the cooperation of public representatives in Barak to rectify the situation.

The civic meeting, organized by social worker Fazeer Ahmed Raj Barabhooiya, highlighted the determination of the community to eradicate corruption and ensure transparency in local administrative offices. Khalilur Rahman Chowdhury, a philanthropist from Kathigorah, disseminated the news through an official press release, drawing attention to the urgent need for reform and accountability in the Kathigorah sub-registrar and settlement office.
