PM Modi says, 'Daro Mat, Bhaago Mat' as Rahul Gandhi picks Raebareli over Amethi for elections

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a rally in Bengal, took a dig at Rahul Gandhi's decision to switch from Amethi to Raebareli, suggesting it was motivated by a fear of defeat. Modi used Gandhi's own slogan, "Daro Mat, Bhaago Mat," to mock him, highlighting the perceived irony of Gandhi's avoidance tactics. This sarcastic remark hinted at Gandhi's previous allegations against the BJP government of intimidation tactics.

Modi didn't spare Sonia Gandhi either, predicting that both mother and son would refrain from contesting in their traditional strongholds due to fear. He insinuated that Rahul Gandhi's shift from Amethi to Raebareli was another manifestation of this avoidance strategy driven by apprehension of electoral defeat.

 Modi's comments underscored the BJP's interpretation of Gandhi's constituency switch as an admission of weakness and uncertainty about his prospects in Amethi.

Union Minister Anurag Thakur echoed Modi's sentiments, suggesting that Gandhi's decision to switch constituencies reflected his fear, moving from Amethi to Wayanad and now to Raebareli. The BJP's response signals their confidence in their electoral dominance in Amethi, while also intensifying the political rivalry between the BJP and Congress as elections draw nearer.
