Pranab Kumar Dey resigns as Cultural Secretary of Silchar District Sports Association

Pranab Kumar Dey has tendered his resignation from the position of Secretary, Cultural Branch of the Silchar District Sports Association (DSA), citing internal conflicts and lack of communication as the primary reasons.

In his resignation letter addressed to the President of the District Sports Association, Dey detailed his journey and efforts since being elected on July 16, 2023.

He expressed his commitment to promoting cultural activities and providing a platform for local talent to participate in state-level competitions.

Dey mentioned that he initiated several foundational works and submitted his proposals to the General Secretary on October 2, 2023.

However, Dey highlighted his exclusion from significant cultural events such as "Hazzar Konthe Kishore Kumar" and "Cholo Mathe Jai," which he believes fall under the Cultural Branch's purview.

He expressed his shock and disappointment over the General Secretary's decision to bypass him and involve others outside the Cultural Branch in organizing these events.

Despite his efforts to seek clarification through a letter dated January 17, 2024, and a follow-up message on July 5, 2024, he received no response.

The lack of communication and the perceived step-brotherly treatment towards the Cultural Branch led Dey to resign from his post, effective immediately.

His resignation letter underscores his frustration and the challenges he faced within the organization.
