To curb covid-19 pandemic in India PM Modi in his address to the nation rules out the possibility of lockdown. Urged the states as well to ensure that lockdown will be the last option this time.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation at 8.45 pm, encouraged the people of India.

Amid the rise of coronavirus again in India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi adressed the nation today at 8:45 pm on national television. He said that people of India fought against the pandemic with discipline and patience and must continue to do so.

He conveyed condolences to the victim's families those who lost their lives due to Corona. He said at present time there will be no lockdown. Lockdown will be the last option he confirmed. He urged people to strictly maintain the covid protocols. Also to get vaccinated as soon as possible.

He also repeated, from May 1 people above 18 years can get vaccinated. He said he had a discussion with the medicines manufacturing companies to increase the production and 50% of it's production would be given to the states and hospitals, through state governments.

This time he specially appealed to the youths of our country to make small committees in their society or area to strictly maintain the covid protocols. Also to explain the protocols and it's importance to their senior family members and to stop unnecessarily going out their homes.
