Pune crash case twist: Family driver forced to take blame; six arrested including teen’s father
In a significant development in the deadly crash case in Pune, the minor accused has confessed that their family driver was driving the car at the time of the accident, which resulted in the death of two people.
This claim has been supported by the two friends who were present with the accused during the incident. The teenager's father, Vishal Agarwal, a real estate developer, also asserted that their family driver was behind the wheel of the Porsche.
However, Pune police chief revealed attempts to misrepresent the situation, suggesting that the minor was not the driver. Due to investigative lapses, two police officials have been suspended.
On Saturday morning, Pune police arrested the grandfather of the minor after discovering that he, along with the parents, had threatened the family driver into falsely taking the blame for the accident.
A local court in Pune has remanded the six individuals arrested in the case, including the teenager's father, to judicial custody.
The minor remains in an observation home until June 5. This case highlights significant issues in the handling of the investigation and the attempts by the family to manipulate the narrative
