Quiz Fest 2023 commences in Silchar, Honoring Bir Lachit Barphukan

Silchar witnessed the inauguration of the four-day Quiz Fest 2023, spearheaded by Silchar MLA Dipayan Chakraborty, to pay homage to the legendary Bir Lachit Barphukan on his 401st birth anniversary. The fest commenced with the Magha Quiz competition, marked by the ceremonial lighting of lamps and tributes at Silchar Banga Bhavan.

Dipayan Chakraborty, expressing his enthusiasm, highlighted the widespread participation in the competition, drawing contestants from various regions, including Barak and Brahmaputra. The inaugural day saw 117 contestants from outside the state, with a total registration count exceeding 225 from Barak Valley, Nalbari, Nagaon, and Guwahati. The MLA expressed optimism that Silchar Quiz Fest 2023 would not only leave its mark in India but also globally.

A notable feature of the event is the presence of 25 quiz masters from different parts of India, with the renowned Chandrakant Nayar scheduled to join on the final day. Beyond the quest for knowledge, Dipayan Chakraborty sought everyone's collaboration to ensure the success and significance of Quiz Fest 2023. The event is poised to contribute to the creation of a new chapter, leaving an indelible mark not only nationally but globally.
