"Rain or Shine, Assam University's Ugadi Celebration Delights with Traditional Puja, Food, and Cultural Performances!"

The Ugadi celebration at Assam University began with a puja outside of the Bipin Pal auditorium, despite the heavy rain. The Vice Chancellor, professors, staff, and students successfully completed the puja, seeing the rain as a symbol of blessing. The specialty meal, "Ugadi pacchadi," was served following the puja and was well received by everyone. After the dignitaries arrived and were felicitated, the traditional performances and lunch took place. The lunch included traditional dishes served on banana leaves and was able to feed 1300+ people. The cultural programs, including a ramp walk and dance performances, had an impeccable energy and response from the audience. Overall, the event was a huge success and showcased Assam University's diversity and culture.
