Rare wild cat rescued from landslide in Sonai: Forest department to release animal in Bhuban hills
A wild cat found itself in a precarious situation after being recovered from Sonai. The daring rescue was carried out by Akhter Hussain, a local resident who discovered the feline in the forest near his home on Saturday morning.
Prompt action was taken as Sonai promptly informed the forest department about the situation. Upon receiving the news, Sonai ranger Shivhari Sinha swiftly mobilized a team to assist in the rescue operation.
With the arrival of the forest department team, Akhtar handed over the wild cat to the authorities. Ranger Sinha announced that the cat would be safely released back into its natural habitat in the forest of Bhuban Hills, ensuring its well-being and survival.
This rescue comes in the wake of another similar incident where a wild cat was recovered in the Dhanehari area a few days prior. The ranger speculates that the feline may have strayed from its usual path and inadvertently ended up in the locality.
