Katigorah police have recovered government relief materials from Tarinipur 1st Khanda in Purvakatigorah. On Monday, during an operation led by SI L. Chingchang of Katigorah Police Station, the relief materials were seized and taken to the station.

The items were found in the house of Tajia Begum, wife of Tarinipur 1st Khanda resident Nazim Uddin. According to police information, six sacks of rice, five sacks of pulses, and three cartons of oil were confiscated.

Based on a tip-off, Katigorah police began investigating the relief materials on Sunday and successfully seized them on Monday. The relief items were recovered from Tajia Begum's house and brought to the station in the afternoon.

Sources revealed that a local teacher and four others are involved in the incident. It was learned that on July 6, teacher Fakhruddin Chowdhury received the relief materials from the Katigorah Circle Office.

However, instead of distributing them as required, the items were allegedly stored in Tajia Begum's house for misappropriation.
