Silchar, May 21, 2024: Residents of Berenga Third Khand have raised serious allegations of extensive corruption and substandard work in the construction of a dam and sluice gate, funded by a budget of INR 150 million.

This comes after the devastating floods in 2022, which submerged the entire Silchar area following the collapse of the Berenga dam.
