Road Accident near Kabuganj Market, Retd. Army Veteran scummed in the Mishap
A retired army veteran was killed in a road accident near the Kabuganj market following which the locals blocked the road and the situation escalated quickly. Several officials rushed to the spot to control the situation.
The accident occurred at about 3:30 in the afternoon in Pakaipar on National Highway No. 306. A Bolero pickup truck hit Anil Kumar Sinha, who was in his seventies, and the person died on the spot.
After the accident, locals blocked the Silchar-Aizawl highway. After the incident, the head of the Dholai Police Station rushed to the scene. Magistrate Bikash Chettri (Bikash Chettri) also rushed to the scene to prevent the situation from further deteriorating. The road was blocked for nearly two hours; the locals withdrew the blockade after several rounds of conversations with the OC and the magistrate. The police took the body to Silchar Medical School for an autopsy. The accident and abnormal death of Anil Kumar Sinha shocked the local area, and they are mourning the death of the veteran.
