Road accident on Silchar Ashram Road: Pedestrian and biker critically injured

A severe road accident occurred on Friday night on Silchar Satsang Ashram Road, leaving a pedestrian and a biker critically injured.

The incident involved Bijit Deb, a resident of the area, who was struck by a speeding bike while stepping out onto the road.

The impact caused Deb to be thrown to the roadside, sustaining severe injuries. The biker was also injured in the collision.

Local residents immediately informed the National Highway Patrol Post, prompting a swift response from the police.

With the help of the locals, the injured were quickly rescued and sent to Silchar Medical College Hospital for treatment. The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
