Rs 70 lakh PM-CARE oxygen plant in Karimganj lies unused due to mismanagement

The oxygen plant established under PM-CARE in 2021, at a significant cost of Rs 70 lakh, was once seen as a beacon of hope for the region.

Designed to supply life-saving oxygen to Karimganj Civil Hospital, the district's only major healthcare facility, the plant initially promised to be a crucial resource for the community.

However, this once-promising project has now become a symbol of neglect and mismanagement. Despite its potential, the plant remains non-operational and useless to the public, highlighting serious flaws in its implementation and maintenance.

The community's hopes have been dashed as the facility, intended to be a lifeline, stands idle and ineffective.
