SEBA to teach AI & Robotics subjects in Class 9 and 10
The State Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) has announced the introduction of a new elective subject on 'Artificial Intelligence and Robotics' for class IX starting from the academic session 2024-2025, and for class X from the following academic session. The textbook for this subject is readily accessible through SEBA's official website, allowing students to download it in PDF format.
In a significant shift, SEBA has decided that practical examinations for vocational subjects, including Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, will now constitute 50% of the total marks, starting from the academic session 2024-2025.
This marks a substantial increase from previous years and underscores the board's emphasis on practical learning and skill development. Furthermore, SEBA has centralized the practical examination process, with the District level Internal Examination Committee responsible for conducting practical exams for all relevant subjects.
Additionally, SEBA has discontinued the practice of conducting practical exams at the center level, emphasizing the need for students to achieve a passing grade in practical examinations separately. This move aims to ensure uniformity and fairness in the evaluation process while encouraging students to actively engage in practical learning experiences.
