Security guard reportedly succumbs to death due to heatstroke at Badarpur’s BVCL
A 38-year-old security guard named Amar Sinha tragically died from a suspected heatstroke while on duty at the main gate of Valley Cement Company Limited (BVCL) in Badarpur on Sunday.
Sinha, who had joined the company just two days earlier, suddenly fell ill while working under the scorching sun.
He was rushed to a local hospital where he was declared dead, with doctors attributing his death to heatstroke.
Sinha was a resident of Patharkandi, and his body has been sent to Silchar Medical College for an autopsy.
This incident underscores the dangers faced by outdoor workers during extreme heat conditions and calls for improved safety measures to protect them from heat-related illnesses.
