Serious collision on national highway 37: Two young men severely injured

 In a severe accident on National Highway 37 near Lalpani Petrol Pump, two youths were critically injured when their bike collided with a cruiser on Monday evening around 5:00 pm. The injured, identified as Ajmal Hossain (20) and Mohib Uddin (21), were immediately rushed to Silchar Medical College Hospital for emergency treatment. Eyewitnesses at the scene provided crucial assistance in getting the victims to the hospital promptly.

Ajmal Hussain, the son of Riazul Haque from Lalpani village, is reported to be in critical condition. He was driving the bike with Mohib Uddin, the son of Meher Uddin from Jiribam Sonapur, as his pillion rider.

According to initial reports, the two were heading towards Jirighat when their bike collided head-on with a cruiser coming from the opposite direction. The impact of the collision was so severe that both Hossain and Uddin were thrown off the bike, landing hard on the road.

Local authorities arrived shortly after the incident to manage traffic and gather information on the accident. Preliminary investigations suggest that the accident could have been caused by the high speed of the vehicles involved, although further details are awaited as the police continue their inquiry.
