Several injured after speeding truck hits auto-rickshaw at E.N.D. colony railway gate on Friday night

A horrifying road accident occurred in front of the Tarapur E.N.D. Colony railway gate in Silchar, leaving several individuals severely injured, including a woman.

On Friday night, a speeding truck swiftly approached the railway gate in Silchar's Tarapur E.N.D. Colony, colliding with a passenger auto-rickshaw. The impact resulted in serious injuries to the passengers, particularly a woman who was inside the auto.

Local residents promptly came to the aid of the injured, transporting them to the Silchar Medical College for medical attention. Sources reveal that the speeding truck attempted to overtake several other autos, causing a series of collisions that left multiple vehicles damaged.

Subsequently, locals apprehended the driver of the truck and handed him over to the Tarapur Police. The police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
