The incident occurred on Friday night when Rinku Rani Das was confronted by her two younger sisters and their husbands at her residence on Silchar Third Link Road No. 5 Lane. The altercation escalated when the younger siblings demanded Rinku to provide Rani Das's doctor's prescription as evidence of a past incident. Refusing to comply, Rinku Rani faced the wrath of her sisters and their spouses.
In a shocking turn of events, one of the sisters, identified as Rina Nath, attacked her elder sibling without any sharp weapon, using her teeth to bite off a part of Rinku Rani's nasal cavity. The victim's family witnessed the gruesome attack, leading to immediate chaos. Local residents intervened, providing assistance and support to the injured woman.
Rinku Rani Das was swiftly taken to Silchar Rangirkhari out-post by her family members, where she filed a case against her attackers. Subsequently, she was transferred to Silchar Medical College for medical treatment.
