Silchar Block Kaiborto Parishad Protests Strongly Against Negative Social Media Comments on President Sujit Das Choudhury

Silchar, September 9, 2023 - In response to the recent wave of negative comments circulating on social media, the Silchar Block Kaiborto Parishad held a press conference today, expressing their strong disapproval and support for President Sujit Das Choudhury. The comments in question stemmed from an incident where Sujit Das Choudhury was removed from a flight to Kolkata due to alleged misbehavior with airline staff, which was widely publicized on social media platforms.

At the press conference, Ashok Sarkar, President of the Silchar Block Kaiborto Parishad, along with other prominent members, including Sajal Kanti Das, Monindra Das, Niranjan Das, Dhiman Sarkar, Chiranjit Das, and Aurobindo Das, addressed the issue and defended Mr. Chowdhury's character. They emphasized his role as the President of the Kaiborto Development Parishad, a social worker, and an industrialist.

President Ashok Sarkar, speaking on behalf of the council, asserted that if Sujit Das Choudhury had indeed engaged in inappropriate behavior, concrete evidence such as CCTV footage or reliable testimonies should be provided to substantiate the claims. To date, no substantial proof has been presented to support the allegations, which have been propagated by some individuals on social media platforms.

Furthermore, the council expressed concern over the unwarranted targeting of their society, asserting that baseless negative comments do not serve justice. They highlighted that if any wrongdoing is established, the appropriate authorities within the transport department will take the necessary legal actions. 

The council members strongly condemned the manner in which a social worker and industrialist like Sujit Das Choudhury had been subjected to disparaging comments on social media and called for a cessation of such actions. They warned that if such behavior persists, they may be compelled to pursue legal action to safeguard their reputation and that of their President.
