Silchar Collegiate School authorities denounce false allegations in press conference

In a press conference held on Friday, representatives of the Silchar Collegiate School Teachers and Staff Association addressed concerns surrounding the school's recent controversies.

The authorities strongly refuted claims made by Rajeev Dutt, asserting that the school's reputation, built over 50 years, is untarnished by the false propaganda being spread.

Accusing Rajeev Dutt of illegitimately holding the position of school president without proper documentation, the authorities emphasized that his actions are causing harm to both the school and its students. They revealed that Dutt had filed a case against the former district magistrate, but it has resulted in adverse consequences for the school's teachers and students.

Highlighting the impact of the ongoing case, the school authorities stated that 11 teachers have been deprived of salaries for the past eight months. They expressed frustration that despite reporting issues to the District Magistrate of Cachar, no resolution has been achieved.

The authorities demanded a thorough investigation into corruption allegations made by Rajeev Dutt against the school's teachers and staff. They further called upon the Assam Chief Minister and Education Minister to intervene, advocating for a transition from private to government status for Silchar Collegiate School.

Present at the press conference were Anupama Chowdhury, Sudipta Biswas, Shampa Das, Papia Sen, Biswajit Chakraborty, Biswajit Dutta, Lipi Chakraborty, Varnali Dev Sharmila Das, Tapan Das, Subhrajit Sen, Mamta Nath, Pinki Nath, Abhijit Dutt, and others, united in addressing the concerns surrounding the school's integrity and seeking justice for its teachers.
