Silchar Kalibari Char Residents Protest Against Sadar Officials for Not Arresting the Father Accused of Raping His Own Daughter

The residents of Silchar Kalibari Char have taken to the streets, demanding the immediate arrest of the alleged rapist, Ravi Das. Tensions are running high near the Sadar police station as they insist on justice for the heinous crime of rape. A woman vented her frustration over the police's failure to apprehend the accused.

Notably, last Friday night, an intense situation unfolded in Silchar Kalibari Char when allegations of incestuous rape emerged. While the police and CRPF eventually managed to quell the turmoil, the failure to apprehend Ravi Das has triggered fresh protests from the entire Kalibari Char community on Sunday night.

At one point, enraged protestors attempted to surround the Sadar police station, prompting the deployment of CRPF forces. Order was restored only after assurances were given regarding the imminent arrest of the primary suspect in the case.
