Silchar Team victory against Karbi Anglong by 5 wickets in Diphu

Silchar's cricket team kicked off their campaign in the Nuruddin Trophy Senior Inter-District Cricket with a hard-fought victory against Karbi Anglong in Diphu.

Despite initial challenges, they emerged triumphant, winning by 5 wickets. In the first innings, Silchar displayed strong bowling prowess, restricting Karbi Anglong to under 150 runs, with spinners Parvez Musharraf and Amit Yadav shining with four wickets each. 

However, the chase didn't come easy for Silchar, as they stumbled at 46/4 while chasing a target of 115. It was captain Abhishek Thakuri and Sameek Das who steered the team towards victory with a crucial partnership, securing a memorable win for Silchar.
