Silchar thief caught red-handed in bag snatching attempt

In a broad daylight robbery in Silchar, a thief was caught by locals while trying to snatch a woman's bag.

The incident occurred on Saturday when a woman had just withdrawn money from a bank and was eating at a hotel on National Highway Road. Seizing the opportunity, a man attempted to snatch her bag and flee.

The woman's screams alerted the nearby locals, who quickly chased down and apprehended the thief.
