Silchar's Debojit Das selected for Assam under-16 team's tour of Bangladesh

Debojit Das, a promising cricketer from Silchar, Tarapur, has earned a coveted spot in the Assam Under-16 cricket team for an upcoming tour to Bangladesh, organized by the Assam Cricket Association (ACA).

 His journey from playing cricket at KV ONGC Srikona to representing his district multiple times has showcased his talent and dedication to the sport. Debojit's consistent performances caught the attention of selectors, leading to his selection for the state camp and eventually the Assam team for the Bangladesh tour.

Despite balancing his cricketing aspirations with academic pursuits, including appearing for his Class 10 board exams, Debojit has remained focused on honing his cricketing skills.

His selection not only brings pride to Silchar but also serves as an inspiration for aspiring cricketers in the region. The warm send-off ceremony organized by ACA reflects the support and encouragement extended to young cricketers like Debojit as they embark on this international tour.

Led by captain Aman Yadav and vice-captain Rahul Tamuli, the Assam Under-16 cricket team, comprising 16 talented players including local hero Debojit Das, is gearing up for an exciting tour to Bangladesh.

 The tour will feature two three-day matches and three one-day matches against the Bangladesh national team (Under-16), promising thrilling cricket action at venues in Rajshahi and Bogura. Scheduled from April 25 to May 14, this tour represents a significant opportunity for Debojit and his teammates to gain valuable exposure and experience at the international level.
